That show has surprising moments of insight. It's overhyped, but there's some real sparks of genius in it.

I live under a rock apparently... I was totally unaware that there was anything of entertainment value left to watch

Rick and Morty is deeply misanthropic and glorifies (or at least sits with) existential despair. If you like that kind of humor, you'd enjoy it; it's smart for what it is. I know a lot of people think it's edgelord garbage. I love it for what it is but I'm not one of those jackasses that stood on line at McDonald's for the Mulan Sauce tie-in.

The incessant whore mongering of our commercial society is matched only by the insipid idiocy of the general public that feeds off of it like flies on shit.

Yay! Welcome to a VERY exclusive club. It may be in the double digits by now. And I don't want to scare you off while you can still cancel the order, but sub my stack so you can tell me what you think. There may be a half-dozen or so who've also read it on there ;-)

Not to worry... I don't scare easily... your stack is sub'd... I will certainly let you know what I think after reading.

As you can see I picked my avatar from the show.

It can be cheesy at times but it goes deep into existential and political issues a lot.

One of the creators made a game called "High on Life" which had different characters but it was even funnier, making fun of what sci-fi/we think technology will become (the same crap we have today but with more bells and whistles, lol).

Can't stand the style, it's vomit-inducing in the wrong way. On the other hand, some people think a blank canvas with a banana taped to it is art. Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder as they say (but never which subtype of Beholder, or which one of the eyes).

Is the message that terrorism works and isn't terrorism if you win?
