That's what steered me here also. Although I have enjoyed Guttermouth comments on other Stacks, I had somehow failed to click the Guttermouth link. I also peer through the Looking Glass on a regular basis.
That's why I include the link in the text of a lot of my comments these days- I did an informal test with a bunch of my friends and found that most people don't notice the "writes..." next to a commenter's name and don't immediately grasp what it is.
One of the things I enjoyed most from my marketing days was the impact of sensation/perception like Mark Changizi writes about- little things like the way we naturally scan and take things in.
LOL. I started a tiny newsletter with 20 people and now I have 1700 after linked by two people with huge readership. I'm just "paying it forward." Please excuse the vomitous prog-speak. heh
LOL I have always loved reading your comments in other substacks and was thrilled when you started your own! Probably says something about my sense of humor…
Really well. It's been a very busy week with a bazillion appointments. He's got an ECG coming soon to see what the damage looks like after about a 3-month wait but he's enjoying a largely symptom-free life right now. His legs are still weak and he overextends himself sometimes out of frustration but he remains mentally sharp as a razor and as physically able as he can be. He's pursuing outpatient physical therapy (on his own, I might add) to get back in shape.
In a few weeks he will likely decide whether to go through with whatever surgical option the specialist decides on or to just manage with medication and lifestyle. He's understandably terrified of another extended hospitalization for any reason.
I had stopped in here when you first set up, but it really wasn't going yet. Then the other day started deleting a number of substacks cuz I was spending waaaay too much time reading & several were getting very redundant. Then saw the shoutout, so peeked back in here. Started thinking about starting one myself, then discovered one you pointed to on much the same topics intended, but broader & better. So now I'm back where I started, spending waaaay too much time reading.
I'm trying to convince myself its due to cloudy, drizzly day. My lab eternal puppy sez otherwise; I should be throwing frizbee.
Monica Hughes gave both of us a shoutout here (https://themariachiyears.substack.com/p/substack-roundup-1), so that could be it 😸
Fuckin fab.

It has definitely helped my metrics.
I click on them if I like the commenter
I only noticed it yesterday, and I've been following substack writers for over a year.
That's how I found it!

You clearly are a gentleman of distinguished taste 😁
Also we don't have anything better to do cause we all got canceled, fired, or are political exiles. lol
You're not fullashit. You are a fucking viking. Like minded folk will find you.

It's okay. You said "vomit," and that's gross.
You are refreshingly unfiltered. Reminds me of my hubby. Lol
I enjoy reading you and look forward to more honest assessments of our timeline and life.

Says something AWEsome, you mean.
Exactly.😂

Nah, cancelled nurse. Waiting for the apocalypse. You rock💥
If I never see another covid graph again I'll be happy. I'm so sick of the damn things.
